Our New Space, Our New Piano

There have been so many wonderful and exciting things happening at our studio over the last few weeks! Since 3rd Place has shut down, we have moved to a new location in Adel. It was time for us to upgrade our space anyway, and this was the perfect time to do it. We needed a space that would serve our students and teacher better and be a comfortable space where high levels of teaching could happen. We found a great spot on the square in Adel, at 101 N 9th St. Apt. D. It is on the second floor of the building. There are two access doors as well as an elevator!

This space is going to be a huge upgrade for us! Along with the new space, we wanted to invest in an instrument that would be our main piano for piano lessons at Noted Studios. Piano lessons are the bulk of our lessons and we wanted to upgrade our equipment. We found a great grand piano for sale from Second Baptist Church in Marion, Illinois. They were selling their 5'8" Baldwin Model R grand piano. I saw a Facebook post from a mutual friend at the church and knew I had to investigate. After getting the piano checked out, we knew it was the one for us!

In order to move such a great instrument, we needed some pros. We contacted Adamantine Spine Moving and it turns out they were the perfect company to help us out. Kyle actually worked with the main piano mover, Jeff, while he was with West Music in college working for a summer. It was a surprise reunion!

This instrument plays beautifully! It has some cosmetic damage from its many years of use, but the sound it makes is fantastic. Once we get it maintained by a local pro, we know that it will be in tip-top shape for many music lessons serving the community of Adel!
