Eliana Franzenburg

Piano/Voice/Guitar Instructor 

​

Eliana Franzenburg is a singer and musician. She plays guitar and piano and she has been immersed in music since she was 5. Eliana loves performing, producing, and teaching. On any given day you can find her playing anything from Elvis, to Johnny Cash, to the Beatles.

 

Eliana's passion is to impart a love and joy for music to every student... even to the point of them looking forward to practicing! She also makes a point of tailoring the lessons to each student's needs.

Kyle Pape

Owner/Instructor 

Kyle has been a performing musician since he was a teenager. He plays guitar, piano, drums, and most brass and woodwind instruments. He is the owner of Kyle Pape Music and is a member of the band Kelly and Kyle with his wife, Kelly. Kyle studied music education at The University of Iowa and has an MS in Education from SUNY, The State University of New York.  Kyle is currently the 5-12 Instrumental Music Educator at Van Meter Community School District. He is dedicated to teaching others about music and seeing them grow in their understanding and passion for music.

Heather Barker

Piano/Voice

Ms. Barker comes from Center Point, Iowa. She graduated in May of 2018 from Luther College with a B.A. degree, where she majored in Vocal Music Education and minored in Spanish.

Liam Newell

Piano

Liam Newell is a dynamic musician and two-time All-State pianist whose talents have taken him to the prestigious Iowa All-State Music Festival in Ames, where he has performed with both the orchestra and band. Not one to be confined to a single instrument, Liam is also an accomplished All-State jazz saxophonist, bringing soulful improvisation and energy to every performance. Outside the music hall, he finds rhythm in a different way—through running. His musical inspirations range from the smooth grooves of Stevie Wonder to the lyrical phrasing of Bill Evans and the bold brilliance of Cannonball Adderley.

Hillary Grugan

Piano/Flute/Clarinet/Saxophone/Trumpet/Trombone/Baritone/Tuba/Percussion

 

Hillary is the music and band teacher at CAM Community Schools. She graduated in 2020 from Buena Vista University with a Bachelor's in band and vocal music education. While teaching at CAM, she has been dedicated to helping students develop their vocal and instrumental music skills. She is devoted to helping students develop their musical skills and foster a lifelong passion and appreciation for music. Hillary resides in Dexter, IA with her husband, Brad, and two dogs, Copper and Maggie.

Kelly Pape

Owner/Piano/Flute/Spanish Instructor

Kelly Pape is a classically trained pianist.  She studied classical piano through private lessons for ten years as a child and has been teaching piano to students of all ages for 12 years.  In addition to piano, Kelly took up the flute at the age of 10 and formally studied for 8 years. She has an MS in Education through SUNY, The State University of New York, and has a passion for teaching, inspiring, and encouraging students to reach their goals. She actively is a member of the band Kelly and Kyle.

 

Kelly has a BA in Spanish from The University of Iowa.  She lived and taught in Spain and Mexico for a total of 6 years. She loves teaching Spanish to learners of all levels and ages and is excited to develop Spanish language skills in her students.

Karen Landolt

Piano

Karen graduated with a B.Sci. in Sacred Music with piano from Faith Baptist Bible College in 2001. She's taught piano in her home for 15 years, judged for various piano competitions, and then took a break from having her own piano studio to teach her own children piano along with all their other education. Her other occupations beyond teaching are raising their seven children and helping run Her husband's remodeling business.

Brianne Schildberg

Piano/Voice

Brianne Schildberg is a Vocal Music Education teacher.  Brianne studied music at Central College in Pella, IA, graduating in 2009 with her vocal music education degree.  She has been teaching for 15 years now: 3 years in a K-12 School district in southeast Iowa, 6 years as the 6-12th grade choral director at Van Meter and is currently in her 6th year of teaching K-6th grade at the elementary school in Van Meter.  While vocal studies was her major in college, she enjoys playing and teaching piano and ukulele.  Brianne lives in Adel with her husband David and their three children: Oliver (8), Connor (5) and Cecelia (2).

Bart Jones

Drum Set

With over 22 years of experience as an educator in Physical Education and Health, Bart Jones brings a unique and dynamic approach to drum instruction. A lifelong musician, Bart began playing percussion in the second grade and continued through high school, including a strong foundation in piano.

Bart holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Iowa State University and a Master of Science degree from A.T. Still University. Bart draws inspiration from legendary drummers like Neil Peart, John Bonham, and Carter Beauford. Whether teaching beginners or seasoned players, Bart is dedicated to helping students develop their skills, creativity, and love for drumming.

Cameron Freeman

Guitar/Bass

Cameron has been a musician for over 20 years playing various instruments and in high school played for a musical and accompanied the choir. In addition to performing, he has been writing and composing songs for the last decade and currently plays guitar and bass at church. Cameron enjoys teaching, serving at church, working with his hands, and writing music. He, his wife Leah, and their 5 children would love to start a family band.

Leah Freeman

Voice

Leah was raised in a family of musicians and has been in musical productions since she was 8 years old. Performing at church, school, music festivals, coffee shops, farmers markets, weddings, funerals, and backyard barbecues. Besides her family, worship is her biggest passion having led worship for the past 20 years. Leah and her husband Cameron like to write and compose music together as well as record. Her other passions include cooking good food and baking for her family, homeschooling her 5 children, and reading as much as possible.
